Maclean's magazine and Today's Parent magazine polled readers and scanned dozens of studies that looked at exemplary schools. Nominations from school board chairs to teachers and parents helped determine who made it on the list. Researchers also polled a panel of experts representative of some of the country's leading academics and education specialists. Innovative programming and extra curricular activities were criteria that made it on both the Maclean's list and the Today's Parent list, but many other categories are also included. |
